Round Robins
Round Robin play is structured around players' skill levels. The goal is to have all players playing against others who have roughly the same level of skill or ability, while providing a fun yet competitive environment.
Round Robins are usually played in 2-hour blocks of time. See the schedule.
If you hold a USA Pickleball skill level rating that's the level you play for all events.
If you are not USA Pickleball rated our Club has implemented a rating process where an impartial assessment of your skills will be established and you'll play all events at your "Club" level rating.
The club evaluation process applies to 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 levels.
Beginners should start at the 2.0 level and as they learn the game they will be able advance to the 2.5 level based on recommendation from an executive representative.
Descriptions of the various skill levels can be found at Skill Level Ratings & Definitions.
Please show up no later than fifteen minutes before play is scheduled to start.
When you arrive you will be assigned a number on the signup board. Your number remains yours throughout the session and indicates which court you play on for each match.
In the time allocated to each Round Robin you will play your games, each with a different partner and against a different pair of opponents. After each game, simply check the schedule and move to the next court.
You may have a “bye” (where you sit out for one game), if there is an uneven number of players signed up.
A Captain is present at every scheduled Round Robin event & will help you get started.
